Drew Gillson is a technology executive, entrepreneur, and community organizer with over two decades of experience in digital. He currently leads the Document AI practice within Google Cloud’s Global Incubation Team. He has worked for Google since the acquisition of Looker, in 2019, where he led a technical success team to drive enterprise adoption of Looker’s SaaS product. Drew is an investor in Thin Air Labs, a member of the Board of Directors for the YYC Data Society, and has been active in the Calgary startup and technology community since 2001. Drew founded the Calgary Artificial Intelligence Meetup in 2017 and organized more than 30 events, growing the group to 3,500+ members. In the early 2010s, Drew was a founding partner and VP, Technology for LiveOutThere.com, an online retailer in the outdoor category. Drew spent the 2000s in the nascent digital marketing and advertising industry, and he takes every opportunity to use his varied career experience to mentor others. “How can I help?”
